SOUP (Stir One Up Program) Advocacy Group
The purpose of SOUP is to promote growth in advocacy and community presence. This is a group for people with developmental disabilities. Members participate in small group discussions, share ideas, use their voice, and connect with their communities through service projects.
Support people are welcome to attend with anyone who needs assistance to participate.

Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month with some exceptions.
Meeting times are 10:30 am-1:30 pm or 6 pm-8 pm. Both meetings have same agenda.

People First of Cuyahoga County
We are proud to support, along with the The Arc of Greater Cleveland, the local chapter of People First, a nationwide self-advocacy group that gives individuals with developmental disabilities training to build skills in decision-making so they can advocate for themselves.
The group is open to all individuals with developmental disabilities in Cuyahoga County. Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month (except January and February). All meetings are held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Clinic Building (lower level), located at 5001 Rockside Rd. in Independence.

The goals of People First are:
- Community awareness
- Teaching our communities about people with disabilities
- Community support
- Advocating for the supports people need to live, work and be a part of the community
- Health insurance
- Promoting various ways for self-advocates to work and obtain health insurance
